Reverse Planetary Roller Screw By-Product Series |
The defining feature of the Reverse Planetary Roller Lead Screw is its roller motion rule: during operation, each planetary roller spins on its own axis and revolves around the central screw, yet does not produce any axial shift relative to the lead screw. By comparison, rollers of standard planetary roller screws have zero axial displacement relative to the nut, while rollers of recirculating planetary roller screws generate cyclic axial movement relative to the nut besides rotation and revolution. The reverse structure concentrates the positioning constraint on the screw side instead of the nut side, which brings unique merits in certain mechanical layouts. It achieves even contact stress distribution, high rigidity, stable transmission and good resistance to impact loads. The structure is compact and capable of sustaining heavy loads with consistent precision during long-cycle linear reciprocating movement.
With its special kinematic property, high rigidity and heavy-load capacity, the Reverse Planetary Roller Lead Screw is adopted for bespoke linear motion systems where conventional planetary roller screw types cannot meet structural layout requirements. Typical applications include special servo actuators, customized machine tool feed units, heavy-duty lifting and pushing machinery, precision testing rigs, aerospace auxiliary actuation structures and special automated production equipment. It is an ideal transmission choice when the mechanical design requires the roller group to keep synchronous positioning with the screw shaft rather than the nut.
Our R&D team masters the kinematic differences among standard, recirculating and reverse planetary roller screws. The development of this series focuses on optimizing the thread profile, roller matching tolerance and planetary constraint structure to realize the core characteristic that rollers have no axial displacement relative to the lead screw during revolution and rotation. Every batch of finished units undergoes rigorous testing, including motion trajectory verification, positioning accuracy inspection, static and dynamic load testing, as well as fatigue durability assessment. Custom dimensions, thread parameters and preload configurations are available according to customers’ unique equipment design and working condition demands.
Key components including the lead screw, planetary rollers and nut are manufactured by high-precision CNC thread grinding and surface strengthening processes to guarantee precise thread meshing, low friction and uniform load distribution. The assembly process strictly controls the coordination of the planetary roller set to ensure the designated motion characteristic of no axial offset between rollers and the screw shaft. We adopt standardized production workflows for the reverse planetary roller lead screw series. Regular specifications can be arranged for rapid shipment, while non-standard customized products are scheduled flexibly. Comprehensive pre-delivery quality checks and standardized packaging are implemented to supply reliable special linear transmission components for global industrial buyers.
